Terms of Service

Sim2Bot is robotics simulation and development software. It is not a safety-certified robot controller, and simulation results must be independently validated before they are used with physical equipment.
1. Provider and acceptance
These Terms govern your use of Sim2Bot, provided by Source robotics d.o.o., Julija Knifera 5, 10020 Zagreb, Croatia, MBS 081562517, OIB 91353424251, VAT ID HR91353424251 (“Source Robotics”, “we”, “us”). Contact: info@source-robotics.com.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering this agreement. If you use Sim2Bot for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
2. The service and preview status
Sim2Bot provides browser-based robot simulation, scene tools, cloud project storage, sharing, telemetry, cameras, and interfaces for Python, scripts, bridges, and APIs. Features may vary by browser, device, model, configuration, and plan.
Sim2Bot is currently a development preview. Features, file formats, limits, and availability may change, and preview data may be reset where reasonably necessary. We will take reasonable care and provide notice when practicable, but you should keep independent copies of important projects.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You may use Sim2Bot without an account where local-only use is available. Cloud features require an account and internet connection.
4. Plans and payment
The current service is offered without an active paid checkout. Any displayed Maker plan is a planned product direction, not an offer to purchase or an active paid entitlement. Before accepting payment, we will publish pricing, billing frequency, taxes, renewal, cancellation, refund, and plan-specific terms and ask users to agree to the applicable terms.
5. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms, you may use Sim2Bot for personal, educational, research, prototyping, and commercial purposes. Commercial permission under these Terms does not grant rights to third-party robot models, meshes, textures, software, or other materials; their separate licences still apply.
6. Robotics and safety warning
Sim2Bot is not a hard real-time system, certified safety component, validated digital twin, or substitute for robot-manufacturer instructions, risk assessment, guarding, emergency stops, supervision, calibration, or independent testing. Browser scheduling, numerical approximation, model quality, networking, and user configuration can cause simulated behaviour to differ from physical equipment.
You are solely responsible for validating trajectories, limits, payloads, collisions, forces, code, and control commands before using them on a real robot. Never rely on Sim2Bot as the only measure protecting people or property.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of robots, objects, scenes, files, names, images, and other content you upload or create. You grant Source Robotics a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, render, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service you request. We do not use uploaded robot or scene content to train a general-purpose AI model without separate permission. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backup copies and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
You must own your content or have all permissions and licences needed to upload, process, and share it. You are responsible for complying with model, dataset, software, trademark, export-control, privacy, and other applicable restrictions. Public sharing is optional and initiated by you. A person with your share link may access and copy the shared content.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Sim2Bot to:
- break the law, violate another person’s rights, or upload content you are not authorised to use;
- distribute malware, exploit vulnerabilities, evade access controls, probe accounts, or interfere with the service or another user;
- misrepresent simulation output as safety certification or use the service as the sole safety control for physical machinery;
- facilitate unlawful violence, weapons misuse, dangerous wrongdoing, or instructions intended to cause harm;
- harass, defraud, impersonate, or expose another person’s confidential or personal information;
- circumvent technical limits, quotas, plan controls, or reasonable rate limits; or
- resell access to the hosted service without our written permission.
Legitimate robotics research, security work, and safety testing must remain lawful, authorised, appropriately controlled, and consistent with these Terms.
9. Our software and third-party materials
Sim2Bot, its interface, branding, and service content are owned by Source Robotics or its licensors. These Terms grant access to the service, not ownership of it. Open-source components and bundled robot assets remain governed by their respective licence and attribution files. If those terms conflict with these Terms for a particular component, the component’s licence controls for that component.
10. Content enforcement and intellectual-property reports
We may restrict sharing, remove content, suspend an account, or preserve relevant records when we reasonably believe these Terms, law, security, or third-party rights require it. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us. Rights holders may report allegedly infringing content to info@source-robotics.com with enough information for us to identify and assess it.
11. Availability, changes, and suspension
We may maintain, update, limit, or discontinue features and may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, maintenance, or service integrity. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We will provide reasonable notice of material discontinuation when practicable.
12. Termination
You may stop using Sim2Bot and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, serious misuse, legal requirements, or security risk. Provisions concerning ownership, safety, liability, disputes, and obligations that by nature survive termination will continue to apply.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sim2Bot is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that models are complete or accurate, that results reproduce a physical robot, or that the service is suitable for a particular safety, regulatory, research, or commercial purpose. Nothing in these Terms removes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Source Robotics is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damage caused by relying on unvalidated simulation output or commands used with physical equipment. You remain responsible for backups and real-world safety.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded, including mandatory consumer protections and liability that applicable law requires us to retain. Because no paid service is currently offered, these Terms do not set a paid-subscription liability cap; that issue will be addressed before paid plans launch.
15. Governing law and disputes
Please first contact info@source-robotics.com so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Courts with jurisdiction in Zagreb, Croatia will have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain any mandatory rights, protections, and competent forum available under the law that applies to them.
16. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be identified by a new date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganisation, sale, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law.
